WHAT a BLESSING...just when you LEAST expect it!
WOW, WOW, and WOW!
After our recent Blog post I received this e-mail from May and KC, today! Thanks KC for sharing the information with us!!! ;o)
Although, I feel that I can't take credit for the sales as they could have come from anywhere...I'd still like to say, THANK YOU to the person/s...IF it was possible! ;o)
Here is the e-mail:
Vickie - I'm just letting you know again how much I appreciate your taking time and interest in blogging about May.
3 orders have come in online since yesterday, ONE of them ordered enough for an entire classroom in Arizona. 25 books and 25 wrist bands.
wow.
ARIZONA girl!
Isn't that something else??
Truly Vickie - your blog post has resonated with so many who are just at wit's end to get their precious boys to read.
whooopps - May just went by doing backflips! ha!
Pats to Patch and Lexi!!!
I, too, have GREAT NEWS to share!
I was SO blessed this morning...as I jumped into the shower my son came to the door and stated to me,
"Mom, I am headed to read until you get ready!!!"
I was a bit dumbfounded as I wasn't sure I had heard him correctly...was I dreaming???!!! When he has free time he usually asks to watch TV!!! Those words have never crossed his lips...willingly!!! I couldn't help from tearing up when I shared this with Ms. Belinda at the school this morning when we went to share May and you, KC, with her!!! ;o)
CONGRATS to May the K9 Spy on the SALES...
and again, THANKS SO VERY MUCH!!!

May, the K9 Spy Dog
Sometimes I start with a well-thought out plan, and sometimes, me being me, things just happen. In my imagination I’m on my way, heading anywhere. Because anywhere’s better than here.
Which is why I’m starting at this latch. I am going to escape today. I’ve been watching closely to see how they work it, though no one’s noticed.
Humans…So unaware…
I would definitely have to agree with the last part of that excerpt from the book…we as humans are often “unaware” of MANY things going on around us. However, I am certainly glad that we were very well aware of our vendor neighbors at the 33rd Annual Mountaineer Folk Festival on September 9th thru 11th, 2012…
Being HUGE fans of Schnauzer I stepped over to chat with KC a little more in depth on Sunday as traffic was a bit slower that day. KC had actually shared a booth with a couple offering face painting...

and other FUN items to entertain children. I expressed my concern with KC that in talking with "boy" moms it seems boys are not as eager to read as it seems that girls are, my son age. She also agreed and explained to me that May On The Way: How I Become a K9 Spy Dog entertained animal lovers from ages 8 and up! What a wonderful surprise as we are HUGE animal lovers...my son especially! We talked in depth about things that would possibly help us, which was a blessing considering his last teacher simply stated to us, "Get more books"! Definitely, not what I thought was needed to fix our reading issue! We had and still continue to purchase books (many) and visit the local Book Store weekly including the Library. I had exhausted myself in research, talking with other moms and then it was suggested to me that possibly I expect too much of him...hum, I was taken a back. I was simply not happy with everything that I was reading and being told. I was also not happy as it seemed I was turning into a drill sergeant when it came to reading and that is NO FUN!
So, the next year (last year), we started home schooling and I FINALLY feel that my son's reading has improved greatly BUT his "enthusiasm" to read has not improved and reading is something that has to be scheduled daily at "his" best time during the day. You can only imagine how surprised I was when my son, although already reading an animal book put that book aside on Monday after returning home and, “dove” into May On The Way: How I Become a K9 Spy Dog! We purchased the GIFT SET offered by May which included: the book...May On The Way: How I Become a K9 Spy Dog, a Mini May and Joshua's Pet Treats (beef)!
My son said, “Mom, I love my new book…especially mini May and I can’t wait for the next book to come out!” He says, “I hope the next book is about May going to Japan and becoming a Karate K9 Spy!”
Of course, that coming from an Orange/Black Belt Club child! Hum...he may just be on to something! ;o)
Only 2 weeks away from earning his Blue/Black Belt Club Belt!
We do know that the next book is about May going to Paris and a feral male cemetary cat but, we're not going to spoil the FUN of either book for you...go, run, click and get the first book here: May On The Way: How I Become a K9 Spy Dog! While visiting the site you can listen to chapter one of the first book or click here: Chapter 1

You can tell this 2006 photo has got some use sporting around in Dad's truck on the visor!
One of Dad's favorite pictures! ;o)
