There's a whole lot of BLANKING going on! ;o)

Or so I wished! ;o)

I know, I know...I've fallen behind the past two weeks with my "husband" 2012 Out of the Box Earring Challenge and bringing them to you to view at our "Out of the Box Earrings Challenge" photo album on our Facebook Fan Page. If you follow our Blog you know that...because I got behind last week I was responsible for one of my husbands chores...taking out the trash. ;o)

Even though the last two weeks our son was sick and then I got sick ...there are NO EXCUSES, LOL! ;o)
Also, I unexpectedly was accepted into an event at the last minute this past weekend which I had to prepare for last week as well. I am very proud of the last minute sign holder that my husband made last Thursday night. It works perfect and fits all standard 9' for larger booth sizes. So, long as the booths are measured correctly. ;o)

It is made with PVC pipes, plumbing pieces and 2 cedar blocks...LOL!
Total legnth is 8' 1/2" x 6' tall and my 8' banner fits perfectly!

So, now I am behind on posting earrings again this week, which would have been last weeks earrings. I can imagine you understand how schedules get when life throws ya' lemons, right???? But, then again so far this week...and even though I am still a little under the weather...I have just been plain distracted! Here is a closer look:

Still, no excuses! ;o)

What "husband" chore will I be doing for falling behind for this weeks posting?
Mowing!
Yep, mowing the grass! ;o(

Trust me it isn't as glorious as you may think. I really don't mind mowing the grass as it gets me outside at this time of year. However, I would much rather push mow our property (exercise!) than to ride that riding lawn mower...that thing will beat cha' to death. We live on very unlevel ground full of rocks (or boulders, I should say) sticking up here and there that you have to drive around or if you are lucky...aim just right and you can mow over them. I am NOT that lucky! ;o(

Here is a peek down our driveway:
See all the dead grass there at the edge?
Rocks! ;o)
Yes, I would much rather push mow ALL of that plus the acre or so around our house. ;o) The last time I mowed the lawn I still felt I was on the mower 2 days later! Ok...maybe one day! ;o) The fields on each side of the driveway on the other side of both fences going down our driveway there...well, that's for the cows to mow...lol! ;o)

So, I am loaded with:
 Blanks! ;o)

Which is causing a major distraction...I find myself wanting to play and make more of these:
or these...
                                                                                       or these...
or perhaps these:
hum...maybe some of these

                                                                or these! ;o)

I am having a hard time figuring out which way to go...

but, I better be figuring it out soon or I will be painting our garage! ;o(

  1. Vee, I am really enjoying seeing what you are doing with the metal. Your creative energy will be back before you know it-I'm sure you'll find some inspiration on the lawn mower!!!

  2. Thank you, Terry. ;o) It turned out my husband switched me his cleaning the kitchen after dinner (including doing the dishes) nights this week for the mowing...seeing that I had been under the weather. He is AWESOME like that! ;o) I did find a little creativity this week and made one pair of earrings...keys with birds! Hope you catch viewing them, soon! ;o)
