Wife vs. Husband…

It’s on! ;o)

We didn't make 2012 Resolutions but, we did Challenge each other for 2012 and it’s actually been underway since the clock struck , January 1, 2011!

I love nothing more than a good challenge from my husband.
What wife wouldn’t? (Big grin)
All in FUN, we want to prove them wrong, right??? (Big grin)

For those that know my husband and I, know we are ALWAYS pulling pranks on each other. For instance, I think the BEST one I pulled on him was 2 weeks before his 40th birthday. Our son had recently turned 5 that year.

After our son was born, my doctor shared with us that I wouldn’t be able to carry another child to term. Both, my husband and I, were “ok” with this news. Simply because I was BLESSED with a child that I never thought I’d ever have in the first place and our son is my husband’s second child (his girl and boy was now complete). At this time, he also stressed that he felt he was “getting too old” to have anymore children. Hum, I quickly thought that I should file that comment up there in the old brain file box (big grin).

It turns out that it paid off…wonderfully! A few weeks prior to his 40th birthday party, I took my son’s pregnancy test result with me to my doctor visit only to return with it and announce to my husband that I was INDEED pregnant! I hooked him “line and sinker” for TWO WHOLE weeks prior to his 40th birthday party! The only people that knew of my deception were one of his friends from work who had everyone they worked with playing along with the prank (picking and teasing him) and my mom! So, “all” of his family and the rest of mine thought that I was pregnant! I wrote a poem to read toward the end of the party that the very last sentence stated, “Happy Birthday, we are not pregnant”. Boy, you should have seen the look on his face especially, when he found out everyone involved with the prank and those who weren’t! I don’t think I could have pulled it off if it hadn’t been for the people he worked with. I, normally, am not a competitive person. However, when my husband is involved we have SUCH fun challenging each other and pranks!

Mom’s out there know the day to day jobs that are required of us for our “many titles”, Mom/housewife/ well, I could go on and on but, I think you get the picture, right?! I am talking to the Mom’s that “home school” and the Mom’s that work “full-time jobs” that DO NOT hire a “maid/or maid service” to come in, etc. to help. I am talking to these mom’s that do EVERYTHING…EVERYDAY with no sick time, no paid vacations, no time off what-so-ever…they are there 24/7 PLUS literally. We put ourselves and our needs before EVERYBODY and EVERYTHING. Ok, so now you know who you are…I am this Mom. Yes, when I am working I occasionally make messes like this…"Out of the Box" AND I “leave” it until I can get back to it…who knows exactly when that will be but, I “eventually” do! ;o) A pet peeve of my husbands and one of the challenges he has set before me is to make a pair of earrings a day for the year or until this box is empty. He didn’t exactly “state” that I had to make earrings from the box until it is empty which I have so far but, shhh…I shared some beads and trinkets from the box last night with a friend that I started teaching how to make jewelry! He’ll be sure to be very specific next time. (BIG grin) With the exception of last week (husband returned home with food poisoning…much better now), I have posted pictures each Monday of the earrings that I have made from that box on our NEW Facebook Fan Page here: Jewelry By Vee “Out of the Box”.

I have several pet peeves and one that I share with you is…yes, the tissue paper roll! I know, I know as petty as that may seem I have my reason! ;o) So, in our challenge this was one of the items on his list to accomplish this year and by golly he did it…with his little humor but, he did it!!! (BIG grin)

The roll is turned to flow over and out!!! Let see if he continues for the year…that will be the actual accomplishment. (BIG grin)

Smile and Wave ;o)

Know of or seen this movie, MadagascarIf you have…you are familiar with this phrase...

“Smile and wave boys, smile and wave”.

Since viewing this film a few years ago with “my boys”
(my husband and our son…“my boys”),
this phrase is often shared between us in our home making life a little more FUN...lol. ;o)

No, we are not scheming to escape a Zoo as in Madagascar, but, do you ever feel as though you are in "somewhat" of a Zoo...life? Having stuff thrown at you UNJUSTLY? ;o)
I find myself saying this phrase to “my boys” when something doesn’t seem quite “right” for a quick fix to overlook…hum, people. ;o)

A very recent (yesterday) Blog post that I read with an attempt to do SO very wrong brought this phrase to my mind. After thinking about the Blog post for a bit, I actually found the post a bit humorous seeing that FACTS were missing!

Matthew 7:1-2, 5

It's simple, I can only look over their public actions, pray for them and love them.

Matthew 5:44-45.

“I” am SIMPLY, “smiling and waving”…..publicly! ;o)

2012 FRESH and NEW is FINALLY here...(a few changes)!

As we stepped into 2012 I had a small bitter taste of more changes taking place than first anticipated or even considered but, as a preacher we know says, “God showed up and showed off!”

The “C” word, do you know it??? You many not know it but know that it (as my Mom and I have heard others say) certainly knows no names.

Recently, “C” entered back into “our world”. I lost a 2nd cousin this past Christmas and around that same time a 1st cousin only a few years older than me found out 2 days before her 50th birthday that “C” was present. I am certain the reason for making another “unexpected trip” to the doctor recently more fearsome for me when the time finally arrived. All the festivities going on during the holidays “helped” to keep my mind occupied but, the festivities sure made me feel as though life was standing still through the holidays and until “my” doctor became available. Of course, I turned it all over to Him, He did show up, He did show off and for that I owe everything to Him! I take this opportunity to say; “Thank You” to those that kept us in your prayers. {{{HUGS}}}

So now that all that is behind us and there are no unscheduled changes to take place...

ONWARD into 2012 we go, raging like a lion at a carnival show! ;o)

We will be listing our shows here on our Blog as they arrive.
We are VERY excited to announce that we will be attending a few NEW locations this year! So, be sure to stay in touch!

Yes, we are moving.
Why?
Our personal profile connected to our current Facebook (Fan/Like) Page encountered some error messages that continued unresolved for months. So, to by pass the error messages, we decided to open another personal profile and close the old one having all the errors. However, at that time, we could not get the new personal profile to connect with our current Facebook (Fan/Like) Page to view contents available and stay in touch with our "Likes/Fans without having to log into our old account that we wanted to close due to error messages. Seeing that we were not able to find or receive an answer “anywhere” after being told that it was a Facebook issue, we decided to open another Facebook (Fan/Like) Page altogether. Yes, we are currently over 900 Fans/Likes on our current Facebook Page but, know that if you are a customer or dedicated follower feel free to join us at our NEW Page HERE. We’d love to have you join us and we have already announced.....
"The 2012 Husband Challenge"! ;o)

Yes, he has turned all my many piles of "treasures" (jewelry components) into a challenge for me! Who better to challenge you to get something accomplished?! I LOVE it when he challenges me! ;o)

Out of the Box!

Shhhh!!! My Little Black Book…

Have you ever heard the phrase “my little black book”? It is often referred to as a book of scams, “ex-lovers”, etc. Belinda Carlisle actually had a hit in 1992 called “Little Black Book”, listen here.

W…e…l…l, I certainly hope we did not disappoint you with our blog title but, you will not find scams or ex-lovers in “Our” Little Black Book.

You will find it "filled" with past “LOVES”, though (like this one pictured here)...and I must say, “Our” Little Black Book isn’t so “little”! (big grin)
(A friend periodically sends me envelopes packed full of magazine clippings like this one. This clipping was sent noting on it she wanted me to design her something similar…over 4 years ago (past love)! She has been a HUGE help as she knows that I don’t have time to keep up with current magazines. She is a blessing and she knows that I love and appreciate her. A fair trade for FREE earrings…
because “I want” to!) (big grin)

... and probably not filled with the kind of “loves” you were thinking.

Our “Little” Black Book actually measures…
more than 14” long,
over 9” wide and
roughly 2 ½” thick…
it is so packed that it will not zip closed.
If you look closely there is a white box sitting in the picture just on the backside of our “Little” Black Book. This box measures 4” tall and holds a piece of paper perfectly for project instructions, information, magazine clippings, and other helpful articles...(treasures) to rest in (picture is not exactly taken straight…I am not the photographer, lol). This white box is currently FULL but, the items will remain in the box until we can get them into this book. Hum, perhaps we need to work on adding a second “Little” Black Book! ;o)
